Those of us in the organic food and farming community love our yearly conferences. We take the opportunity to connect and reconnect with other people in the industry and we get to share ideas and services. One of our favorite annual events is the Midwest Organic & Sustainable Education Service (MOSES) conferences. Usually held in La Crosse, Wisconsin, MOSES went fully virtual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ecocert was proud to serve as a Platinum sponsor along with our partner organization, Nature’s International Certification Services (NICS).

The event featured an outstanding panel of keynote speakers such as former Vice President Al Gore, Onika Abraham from Farm School NYC, Slow Money’s Woody Tasch, Ronnie Cummins from Organic Consumers Association, economist John Ikerd, Patagonia’s Vincent Stanley, Real Organic Project’s Linley Dixon, David Bronner from Dr. Bronner’s, Iowa farmer and organic advocate Francis Thicke, Kate Mendenhall of the Organic Farmers Association, and Dr. Vandana Shiva, environmental activist and author.

Ecocert USA hosted a virtual booth at the MOSES conference, which was a new experience for us. Our staff also attended numerous workshops and presentations related to dairy herd health, hemp, poultry compost, and more. In an odd year for everyone, we’re happy to provide ongoing support to this consistently great conference.

Hopefully we’ll see you next year in-person in La Crosse for MOSES 2022!
