Regenerative agriculture

The Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC) certification highlights products from regenerative agriculture, going beyond organic standards.
It guarantees farming practices that restore soils, protect ecosystems, ensure animal welfare, and meet demanding social criteria.

Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC) is based on three complementary pillars:

1. Soil Health

• Permanent soil cover, crop rotations, composting, reduced tillage
• Prohibition of GMOs and synthetic pesticides
• Protection of biodiversity

1. Social Fairness

• Safe and fair working conditions
• Respect for fundamental rights
• Fair pay and commitment to producers

1. Animal Welfare

• Access to the outdoors and pasture
• Respect for natural behaviors
• Transport and slaughter practices designed to minimize stress

ROC offers three levels of commitment: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

ROC certification requires:

• A recognized prior organic certification
• A social and/or animal welfare certification, depending on the context
• An audit carried out by an accredited certification body
• Annual audits to maintain certification

ROC applies mainly to agricultural and food products from regenerative practices:

• Crop production: fruits, vegetables, cereals, legumes
• Natural fibers: cotton, wool
• Livestock products: meat, dairy products, eggs

ROC certification is primarily aimed at agricultural producers committed to regenerative agriculture.

• The first processor can be included (especially at the Gold level).
• Other operators (brands, processors, distributors) must ensure traceability of certified raw materials in order to use and promote the label on their products.
