We are hiring an Export Officer that will be based in our Somerset West office. You will report directly to the Export Manager. The Export Officer plays a pivotal role to ensure the traceability and documentary compliance check for each organic consignment being sold or exported, in particular to the EU and USA. 

Your tasks
You will be responsible to carry out the following duties:
  • Checking the completeness and eligibility of Transaction Certificate (TC) and Certificate of Inspection (COI) applications received from clients
  • Cross-checking documents to validate traceability and accuracy
  • Assessing the compliance based on scheme (EU and NOP) requirements
  • Issue and send the approved TC/COI to the clients within a strict 3-day deadline
  • Update internal records on all platforms 
  • Working proactively, along with other departments, ensuring clients and internal staff understand the process by means of guidelines and training. 


  • Tertiary degree or diploma in Logistics, Education or other relevant field 
  • High level of computer literacy – Confident MS Office user 
  • Excellent English and Afrikaans spoken and written competency with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Performs well under high-pressured situations
    Attention to detail and deadline orientated
    Good communication skills

Type of contract: Permanent (6-month probation)

Partial remote working is part of the current company policies.
