What is the purpose of JAS certification?
JAS certification allows your organic products to be commercialised within Japan.

In order to obtain the JAS organic logo, your products must be certified by a certification body approved by the competent authorities like Ecocert to attest their compliance to the Japanese official regulation JAS
Which products are covered by JAS certification ?
Organic JAS applies to agricultural products, food products, and alcoholic beverages.
Who can apply to get JAS label?
The certification JAS is intended for farmers, producers, processors, repackers, and importers. Since 2020, certification has also been available for organic livestock products and feed. Since October 2022, certification has also been available for organic alcoholic beverages, and since December 2022 for foreign “grading/labeling operators” (foreign certification/labeling entities).
