Labelling Rainforest Alliance promotes environmental responsibility, social equity and economic viability for farm communities.
The Rainforest Alliance label guarantees:
Improve livelihoods of producers, farm workers and their families, and communities
Prevent deforestation, promote reforestation, protect biodiversity, and mitigate the consequences of climate change
Improve efficiency and reduce costs, which often results in higher earnings
Build climate resilience through climate-smart agricultural methods
Improve health of farmers, workers and their families
Protect rights of workers and children
Respect the rights of communities
Protect and enhance forests and other ecosystems
The labelling by an independent certification body like Ecocert enables to validate the compliance of your activities according to Rainforest Alliance standard.
To use the Rainforest Alliance label, businesses are required to seek online approval prior to printing or launching materials that use any of the following Rainforest Alliance marks:

Name ‘Rainforest Alliance’
Rainforest Alliance corporate logo.
The current UTZ or Rainforest Alliance Standard Requirements are in force until June 30th, 2021. The Rainforest Alliance 2020 Standard Requirements enter into force on July 1st, 2021. For certificate holders at farm level only core requirements of the Rainforest Alliance 2020 Standard will enter into force in July 2021. Smart meters will become mandatory from July 1st, 2022 onwards. For supply chain actors all Rainforest Alliance 2020 Standard Requirements will become mandatory from July 2021. Additionally: herbs, spices, other herbal tea ingredients, and rooibos (when cultivated with any other crop listed previously or in case of supply chain certification with no farming in scope)
Rainforest Alliance is intended for:
Small and large farms (Producers, Grower groups).
Single site and multi-site organizations (Processors, Importers or Exporters, Brands, Distributors).
