What is the IPCC?
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was established in 1988 by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The objective was to share scientific data on climate change with policy makers.
What is the issue?
In the first part of the IPCC report (August 2021), UN climate experts estimated that the "mercury" would reach around 2030, ten years earlier than expected, the threshold of +1.5Ā°C, the most optimistic target of the Paris Agreement. In the second part, the risks and effects of global warming were announced.
Solutions for CLIMATE
In this 3rd part, an in-depth assessment was made of how human behavior, choices and consumption can contribute to climate change mitigation. 278 authors from 65 different countries contributed to this report!
