Levis, March 18, 2021, Ecocert Canada is proud to act for a sustainable world and congratulates Mont Tremblant Resort as the first Quebec company to obtain ECORESPONSIBLE ™ level 3- Optimum certification from the Council of Sustainable Industries.

The ECORESPONSIBLE ™ certification confirms the integration of sustainable development principles and the implementation of eco-responsible practices in the organization.

Level 3 - optimum - recognizes the organization's contribution to improving its balance sheet according to the challenges of sustainable development and to exerting its influence in its environment through its actions and activities. Several objectives have been achieved and others are being implemented in order, among other things, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5% by 2022. To achieve this, the Laurentides ski resort has set up an Ecoresponsibility Charter and attaches great importance to it.

Many initiatives have also been deployed, in particular the management of residual materials which includes recycling and composting, energy saving by reducing light pollution and watering using untreated water, encouraging carpooling, the use of free shuttles, off-road vehicles and electric carts, the installation of solar panels and charging stations for electric cars, the maintenance of ecosystems in the development and snow cover of the mountain, the implementation of a green hotel program and support for promoters in the eco-responsible management of their events
