The Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) label encourages the elimination of plastic waste before it reaches the ocean by collecting and recycling it in accordance with demanding environmental and social criteria.

• Traceability of OBP waste recyclable from collection to use in the final product

The labelling by an independent certification body such as Ecocert validates the conformity of your practices according to the Ocean Bound Plastic Standard.

The OBP label applies to recycled raw materials, semi-finished and finished products made from plastic waste collected before it reaches the ocean.

• The OBP Collection organization standard applies to companies whose activity is to collect, handle, store, prepare or transport Ocean Bound Plastic waste.
• The OBP Recycling organization standard is applicable to the following type of companies :
  • Organizations that concentrate Recyclable OBP,
  • Organizations that transport Recyclable OBP,
  • Recycled polymer production Organizations,
  • Recycled Plastic packaging or Recycled goods production Organizations,
  • Trader Organizations.
• The OBP Brand standard is applicable to final user of products of packaging containing Recycled OBP and distributors.
