Lévis, Québec, January 28, 2025 – Ecocert Canada is pleased to announce that we have been selected for the second phase of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) from 2025 to 2028. This funding, announced today by the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will help us continue our efforts to support Canadian farmers in reducing emissions and building resilience against climate change.

“We are grateful for the continued support from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada,” said Sébastien Houle, General manager at Ecocert Canada. “This funding will enable us to further promote sustainable agricultural practices and assist our farmers in their ecological transition.”

The additional $300 million in funding will be distributed among 13 organizations, including Ecocert Canada, to facilitate the adoption of beneficial management practices such as cover cropping, nitrogen management, and rotational grazing.

Ecocert Canada will receive up to $7,881,202 to facilitate the adoption of beneficial management practices such as cover cropping and nitrogen management across the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and the Yukon Territory.

The application period will begin on April 1, 2025. All information regarding the application process and program details will be posted online from that date.
