Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF) program is designed to help certified organic producers adopt beneficial management practices (BMPs) to store carbon and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in three specific areas:
To do this, ECOCERT CANADA and the Canada Organic Trade Association (COTA) have set up a specific project to implement actions within the territory. They will be able to help 200 certified organic farmers in Canada. Ecocert Canada is authorized to support and distribute funds in the following two categories Nitrogen Management and Cover Crops.
