International action
ECOCERT works to promote organic products through its control and certification activities in over 80 countries. The ECOCERT group employs 350 people worldwide.
Its wealth of contacts, its experience acquired in the field and the rigorous nature of its controls lend ECOCERT international credibility.
Its action manifests itself through its subsidiaries (Brazil, Canada, Catalonia, Colombia, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain) or regional sitings (Burkina Faso, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, India, Madagascar, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey...).
The guiding principles of that action are respect for cultures and local job creation.
ECOCERT is accredited for NOP certification (National Organic Program) and for JAS certification (Japan Agriculture Standards). ECOCERT is approved in the European Union via the intermediary of its subsidiaries in France, Germany, Spain and Portugal.
